November 2017

Times are set in EDT from the 1st to the 4th and EST from the 5th. V/C means the moon is void of course and it is in between signs. It is not the best time to make plans because they rarely turn out as planned.

Wednesday November 1st 2017: Moon enters Aries. Happy Dia De Los Muertos and All Saints' Day.

Thursday Nov 2nd: Moon v/c at 11:03pm.
Friday Nov 3rd: Moon enters Taurus at 5:46am. Full Moon at 10:23pm PDT and 11:23pm MDT.
Saturday Nov 4th: Full Moon in Taurus at 12:23am CDT and 1:23am EDT. Taurus moons allow us to relax, ground and slow down. They are practical and sensual. We can be a bit stubborn under this moon. Things started during a Taurus moon are likely to last longer. The value of things increase. Taurus offers security and comfort. It is a great time to enjoy good food, music, a massage and spending time in nature. This is also a good time to organize your monthly budget since Taurus rules over money. This particular full moon in Taurus is very spiritual, imaginative, intuitive and romantic! Sun conjuncts Jupiter giving us a confidence boost and optimism. We are feeling more generous. Sun sextiles Neptune, putting us in the right place at the right time. This is great for those looking for love! Saturn suggests, we should to be patient and open minded. There is so much water energy but we aren’t overwhelmed with emotions, thanks to Taurus. We are aware of our emotions but we are comfortable enough not to freak out. Venus opposition Uranus, bringing change in our love life, mostly positive with this moon. Be careful with your finances and try not to over spend. This full moon is the first of three supermoons, the others are in December and January. Supermoons heighten everything! Our emotions and intuition are super charged. We are dealing with a lot of Venus and Neptune influences, so pay very close attention to your dreams and psychic messages.

The New Moon occurs on November 18th, 2017, at 6:43 AM EST, in the sign of Scorpio.
On Saturday morning, the New Moon is exact in the sign of Scorpio. This cycle is good for committing to personal goals that express the positive energies of the sign of the Scorpion.
This lunation stimulates a new beginning in the fixed water sign of Scorpio. It’s a time when we can focus on some of the constructive traits of the sign of the Scorpion–passionate, resourceful, focused, probing, deep, and perceptive–and consider how to positively incorporate these qualities into our lives. Scorpio New Moons are generally good for working on our self-mastery skills. We may want to pinpoint the things in our lives that make us feel out of control, such as addictions and debts, and work on freeing ourselves of these emotional burdens.
This New Moon cycle is also an opportune one in which to explore what is missing in our lives that leads us to engage in these self-destructive behaviors. This cycle represents an opportunity to rid ourselves of the “junk” in our lives–material and spiritual. With this potent Scorpio energy, we have the chance to make important changes in our lives. One of Scorpio’s “lessons” involve learning to dig deeper into the mysteries around us instead of always being content with status quo. Taking the time to understand others’ motives can enrich our feelings of intimacy, forgiveness, and sense of meaning. Scorpio also teaches us that dedication to one meaningful relationship or undertaking can be significantly more satisfying than spreading ourselves around. Here, “quality over quantity” applies. We might want to use this cycle to work on focusing on and developing one special project or relationship in order to help add purposefulness and depth to our lives.

Celtic Tree Astrology: The Elder
Elder - The Seeker
November 25 - December 23
Elder archetypes among Celtic tree astrology tend to be freedom-loving, and sometimes appear to be a bit wild to the other signs of the zodiac. In younger years you may have lived life in the fast lane, often identified as a “thrill seeker.” At the time of your birth the light of the sun was fast fleeting and so you take the same cue from nature. You are often misjudged as an outsider as you have a tendency to be withdrawn in spite of your extroverted nature. In actuality, you are deeply thoughtful with philosophical bent. You also tend to be very considerate of others and genuinely strive to be helpful. These acts of assistance are sometimes thwarted by your brutal honestly (which you openly share solicited or otherwise). Elder Celtic tree astrology signs fit well with Alder’s and Holly’s.
The ancient Celtic people recognized its healing abilities, and honored the elder for the gifts of good health.
Symbolic Celtic Meaning of the Elder Tree
The elder tree is known as a transformative Celtic symbol because it is associated with the realm of fairies. Celtic lore indicates that if you stand near an elder tree at Midsummer’s Eve the land of the fairies will be revealed to your searching eyes. Furthermore, fairies love music - particularly the lulling notes of a flute made from elder wood.
