Watching the run up to the olympics reminds me of one of my great loves , Great Britain . When I was there I loved all the beautiful little villages we would drive through on our journeys . The problem with the journey in the British countryside is , you really dont care about getting to your destination . It is the epitome of 'enjoy the journey' . Once you stop in these wonderful places you have this great sense of community . This feeling of coming together , enjoying each day with not much in the competion mode , they probably keep that for the olympics !! The thing about where most of us live is , it still feels like a small town , even in an urban area . We tend to see much of the same people in our favorite grocery stores and coffee shops. Would,nt it be nice if we could practice saying ' hello', in our 'hood ' to more of our neighbors .
